New Delhi: The Budget session of Parliament has commenced today. At 11 AM, President Droupadi Murmu is addressing the joint session of both Houses. After the President’s address, Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will present the Economic Survey in the House. This survey is a detailed report card that provides a comprehensive analysis of the government's performance over the past year. It covers various key aspects such as GDP, growth, inflation, and employment. Tomorrow, on Saturday, the full-fledged Budget will be presented to Parliament.

The Budget session will take place in two phases from January 31 to April 4. The first phase of the session will end on February 13. During these sessions, the government plans to introduce 16 bills. These include the Waqf (Amendment) Bill, Banking Laws (Amendment) Bill, Railway (Amendment) Bill, Disaster Management (Amendment) Bill, and the Bills on migration and foreign nationals. In this context, an all-party meeting was held on Thursday under the chairmanship of Defence Minister Rajnath Singh. Opposition parties have accused the government of forcibly pushing the agenda using its majority in the parliamentary committees.
